2016 has been another record-breaking year for Silverdale.  Both the GCSE and A level results have, once again, shown an improvement on last year’s achievements.  At all Key Stages our students are excelling; they achieve results that will see them embark upon their next stage of study or work with confidence and the skills needed to continue to make outstanding progress.

Among our successes to celebrate:


97% of students achieved Level 5 or above in English and Maths

49% of students achieved Level 7 or above in English and Maths


Silverdale students achieved GCSE results that are amongst the highest in the city.

When the national data is published, we expect our Progress 8 score to be around +0.64.  This represents outstanding progress for students of all abilities in a broad range of subjects.

The average Attainment 8 score is 5.88.  This represents an average grade of B-.

Standout success; 44% of our students achieved 3 or more A* and A grades exclusively

Maintaining excellent outcomes for all; 99% of students gained 5 GCSEs grade A*-G

82% of students achieved 5 GCSEs grade A*-C

79% of students achieved 5 GCSEs including English and Maths grade A*-C

52% of students achieve the English Baccalaureate

86% of our students achieved 3LOP in Mathematics

89% achieved 3LOP in English



Overall A2 ALPs score is 2; this means that the progress our students make at A level is in the top 5% of the country.

Our A level students are amongst the highest attainers in Sheffield.

64% of all grades are A*-B

88% of all grades are A*-C

99% of all grades are A*-E


Overall AS ALPs score is 3; this means that the progress our students make at A level is in the top 20% of the country

54% of all grades are A-B

73% of all grades are A-C

92% of all grades are A-E
